melody townsel - public relations dir

Melody directs public relations account work for Fusionista, where she employs her 20-year track record in global communications to help our clients establish, build or expand their brands.

Melody, who has lived and worked as a communications professional in more than 20 countries, began her career as a journalist, writing for the Asian Wall Street Journal and The Economist. A graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, Melody speaks fluent Russian and proficient Mandarin and Portuguese.

When she's not honing her communications abilities in front of the toughest audience on the planet, her seven-year-old, Sadie, Melody brushes up on critical parenting skills like memorizing the names of Spongebob Squarepants' friends and creating second-grade math projects out of popsicle sticks and glitter.

Aside from the birth of her daughter, Melody's proudest achievement is fronting a Russian blues band, Crossroads, that opened for ZZ Top at Gorky Park in Moscow. Her weirdest moments: riding 10 hours in a dump truck carrying 8 camels from Almaty, Kazakstan and Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and drinking beer with Roman Polanski in a Swiss chalet-themed bar in Manila.
