A doctor, an engineer and a PR consultant were arguing about which of their professions came first. The doctor stated that God had created Eve from Adam's rib. This, of course, had been a surgical procedure. The engineer argued that, earlier, God had created order from chaos. This had clearly been an engineering feat.

"But," asked the PR consultant, "who do you think created the chaos in the first place?"

When she's not honing her communications abilities in front of the toughest audience on the planet, her seven-year-old, Sadie, Melody brushes up on critical parenting skills like memorizing the names of Spongebob Squarepants' friends and creating second-grade math projects out of popsicle sticks and glitter.

Aside from the birth of her daughter, Melody's proudest achievement is fronting a Russian blues band, Crossroads, that opened for ZZ Top in Moscows Gorky Park. Her weirdest moments: riding 10 hours in a dump truck carrying 8 camels from Almaty, Kazakstan and Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and drinking beer with Roman Polanski in Swiss chalet-themed bar in Manila.
